Covid-19

2020 brought about so many new challenges and so much uncertainty. For most of us, our lives have changed. Wearing masks, social distancing, lockdowns – all new things that we have to deal with. Some are worried about the virus itself, be it for their own health or the health of a loved one. Others are concerned about finances and job security. Most of us miss seeing people in the regular ways we used to. And it leaves us with so many unanswered questions: When will things go back to normal? Will things go back to normal? When can I hug my loved ones again? How am I going to get through these next few months? Do I need to speak to someone?

Currently my sessions are offered virtually. What this means is that I meet with clients on video or over the telephone. Is it the same as face to face sessions? Not exactly, but I have been offering video sessions since 2017 and I can honestly say that they can be very effective in helping people change and work through issues. Whether we end up working together, or you work with another psychologist or therapist, I encourage you to give it a try. Talking to someone and working on difficulties and learning how to thrive can be so incredibly beneficial. My opinion is that it takes strength and courage to ask for help.

Over the next few months, I am working on finding creative ways that I may be able to help more people, as we navigate these uncertain times. Please stay tuned! And please stay safe. A gentle reminder to be as kind to others as possible, as everyone is experiencing their own challenges.
